MONROE LIBRARY LEARNING CENTER NEWS
**In cooperation with the PTA, the LLC will hold it's Used Book Sale for the public on Saturday, April 24th from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The student sale will be conducted April 20th-22nd during lunches. The office will start accepting donations of used books and audio books on Monday, March 8th. Please click here to visit Monroe's Library site through CUSD 200! Students can use http://www.noodletools.com to help create citations for the bibliographies required for research assignments. Click on this link and choose NoodleBib MLA Starter from the Free Tools section. Set up an account and keep track of your sources. When you have completed your research, this site will even "type up" the bibliography for you! See Mrs. O'Grady or Mrs. Hohl in the LLC if you need help with this resource. In addition to Culture Grams, World Book Online and Nettrekker, here are some good online directories for information on African countries. www.africa.upenn.edu/Home_Page/Country.html Click on the country you have been assigned. This will bring you to a page that has a number of links to good Web sites. For one of the best sources of up-to-date facts, go to the World Book Fact Book link by clicking on the country name. Be sure you list as your source the actual Web site from which you take your information, not the above URL.
